Vientiane Wats And Stupas
Wat Si Siket Laos is full of Wats and Vientiane is no exception. Wat Si Siket has over 10,000 Buddhas throughout the structures on the property. It is the only original temple that remains from before the Siamese control. It was built in 1818 in the Siamese style of Buddist architecture instead of the Lao style. All the others were burnt by the Siamese. This one was believed to be saved because of its close resemblance in architecture to the Siamese Wats.
